The Data Security Council of India (DSCI) today signed a two-year agreement with the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) to undertake collaborative research and conduct public advocacy in the areas of cyber laws and data protection.
"DSCI is taking comprehensive efforts at various levels to enhance the industry's awareness on cyber security and data protection. This collaboration will open several avenues to nurture the talent of our nation," its chief executive Kamlesh Bajaj said in a statement.
This strategic alliance will support closer industry- academia interactions through joint research and hosting of national and international conferences on IT laws and policy. It also aims at enhancing the knowledge of law graduates though professional skill development programs, he said.
"This is a very important step in our focus on law, science and technology," National Law School of India University vice-chancellor R Venkata Rao said.
