Pune-based DSK Motowheels plans to launch three more super bikes from its Italian partner Benelli's stables by end of the year, priced between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company, which had entered into an agreement with Benelli last October to bring the Italian superbikes into the country, has already announced that it will start selling five superbikes from Benelli in India from March 19.

"We have unveiled three more models from Benelli which we are targeting to launch by the end of the year. They will be priced in the range of of Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 14 lakh," DSK Motowheels Chairman Shirish Kulkarni told PTI.

The three models which will be making their way to the Indian market include two 250cc models--TNT 25, Blackster 250 and one 1,130 cc tourer--Trek Amazonas, he added.

"We currently have just one 300 cc model from Benelli and two 250 cc models from Hyosung portfolio. So, these two models in the 250 cc range would help achieve volumes in the growing segment," Kulkarni said.

Commenting on the 1,130 cc tourer bike, Kulkarni said it will appeal to customers who prefer to go on long rides.

Asked about the kind of volumes the company is looking to achieve from the three models, Kulkarni said: "In the next two years, we would like to see these three models to account for around 1,000 units each."

DSK Motowheels already has collaboration with South Korean firm Hyosung and currently sells six Hyosung superbikes, ranging between 250cc and 700cc, from 41 outlets across the country.

Both Benelli and Hyosung superbikes would be sold from different dealerships across the country, Kulkarni said.

The Indian superbike market is estimated at around 10,000 units per annum and is expected to touch 15,000 units mark in the current year.
