DSP injured in attack by sand mafias

A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was attacked allegedly by sand mafias in Rajasthan's Dholpur district today, an official said.

A tractor trolley laden with sand hit Chaudhary's jeep near Bijoli village, Dholpur SP Rajesh Singh said.

Chaudhary and his driver Ashok Kumar sustained severe injuries. Both of them were rushed to Sadar Hospital.

The DSP was later shifted to a hospital in Jaipur for further treatment.

On March 27, Dholpur DSP Satish Yadav had a close shave when some sand mafias opened fire at his vehicle.
