"DTC is now plying low-floor AC buses from IGI Airport to the city at a frequency of 10 minutes following the intervention of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit," a statement from Delhi government said.

The service, which started from July 8, would be available round the clock in order to accommodate the passengers after Reliance-operated Airport Express metro suspended its operations from Sunday last.

The bus service from IGI airport to New Delhi railway station has been stabilised at a frequency of 10 minutes, it said.

Dikshit had asked the DTC to make alternative arrangements for airlines passengers facing difficulties due to suspension of Airport Express metro.

The buses would be connecting IGI Airport to Dhaula Kuan, Connaught Place, New Delhi Railway Station and ISBT Kashmere Gate.

DIAL Authorities have expressed their satisfaction over deployment of low-floor AC buses in adequate number to cope up with the rush of passengers at IGI airport due to suspension of metro service, the statement said.
