Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has received 'India Bus Award 2016' for excellence in environmental initiative category.
At a function in Goa, DTC's managing director C R Garg received the award on July 5.
Ashok Leyland India Bus Award-2016 in its second edition have honoured and recognized excellence and spirit of innovation in the bus industry and awarded transport organizations in about 12 categories, a statement released by the DTC said.
"To recognize initiatives that led to safeguarding the environment and devising environment friendly ways in bus operation, DTC has been conferred with India Bus Award 2016 in the category of Excellence in Environmental initiative in government sector," the statement further stated.
