The varsity, in a 13-pointer guidelines issued to all department heads and principals, has directed the formation of committees of students, teachers and other staff to restrict the entry of outsiders in colleges and hostels.

A control room jointly manned by DTC authorities, Delhi police and varsity officials has been set up to deal with any complaints of untoward incident.

Helplines have been set up for the North and South Campuses, calls of which will be received by the control room.

"Playing of Holi will not be permitted in any educational institution and the entry would be regulated through identity cards. All anti-ragging and anti eve-teasing provisions would be made applicable in case of harassment caused to any student during the period," DU Proctor said Satwanti Kumar said in an official communication to principals.

"The university has approached DTC authorities to check any harassment of girl students in the buses during Holi days. DTC drivers have been instructed to take the bus to the nearest police station in case of any harassment noticed by them," Kumar said.

Police has assured us full support in maintaining law and order and ensuring strict action against eve-teasing. They would deploy adequate security in uniform and plain clothes in and around the campus as well as the buses plying in the areas, she said, adding that mobile patrolling squads have also been deployed.
