A large number of teachers, students and non-teaching staff of Delhi University today took a candle light march to vice chancellor's office raising several demands including "inaction on appointments".

Besides, we also want proper implementation of reservation policy, time-bound promotions for all and a no to retrospective application of API, the statement added.

Pension for all, making public the long-pending UGC PRC report, implementation of 7th Pay Commission were some of the other demands.

The protest was organised by DUTA (Delhi University Teachers' Association), DUCKU (Delhi University and Colleges Karamchari Union), DUCLSA (DU and College Lab Staff Association) and SC/ST Employees Association from Arts Faculty.
