Press Trust of India New Delhi
Delhi University will announce the second cut-off list tonight for admissions to its various undergraduate courses.

The university had received 2.5 lakh applications for the 54,000 seats in 63 colleges. In a major shift from previous years, no DU college had kept the ceiling at 100 per cent in the first cut-off list announced last week, however, the required percentage soared at almost all the colleges.

The highest cut-off for the academic session was announced by Ramjas college at 99.25 per cent for BCom Honours, 98.75 for BCom and 98.5 for Economics Honours.

The students had three days to take admission under the first list following which the next cut-off list will be released today.

Some of the colleges, however, are likely to close admissions for a few courses where seats have been filled under the first list.

This is for the first time that the university has introduced full-fledged onlineadmissionprocedure for UG admissions unlike previous years when it used to be both online and offline.

The first day of the admission process saw chaos in few colleges with the varsity portal crashing as soon as the cut-offs were released.

DU had announced this year that it will only release five cut-offs unlike previous years when the varsity issued up to ten cut-off lists.
