Dubai-bound man held with Saudi currency worth Rs 1.48 cr

A 38-year-old Dubai-bound passenger was detained by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence here today for allegedly possessing undeclared Saudi currency valued at Rs 1.48 crore, police said.

Officials of DRI detained the man, a resident of Chennai, based on a tip-off, they said.

He was found carrying the Saudi Riyal in his briefcase, police added.
