Dumka, which had experienced a brief spell of rain last evening, recorded a maximum 45.5 degree C today, followed by a maximum of 44.1, 44 and 42 degree C, Palamau, Bokaro and Giridih, according to Met office sources.
State capital Ranchi recorded a maximum of 39.4 degree C while Jamshedpur registered a maximum of 41.6 degree C, the sources said.
