Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Narela resident last week, police said today.
One Anil Kumar (34) was arrested along with Ajit Kumar (22) for the murder of the victim, identified as Lalit Kumar Mishra.
According to police, Mishra's body was found lying behind a farmhouse on Tajpur Road on Oct. 12 bearing multiple injuries on the neck and head.

"During interrogation, Anil said he had withdrawn Rs 47,000 from Mishra's bank account using a blank cheque signed by the latter. He also confessed to having stolen a credit card which belonged to Mishra, who he said was a relative of his," said Additional DCP (Outer District), MA Rizvi.
When Mishra found out about Anil's theft, he began to pressure him to repay the money and even threatened to file a police complaint in the matter.
Fearing police action and unable to refund the money, Anil hatched a plan with Ajit to kill Mishra, Rizvi said.
It was on the pretext of paying back his money that the accused duo had taken Mishra to Tajpur Road where they killed him near a rice field.
To prevent police from identifying the body, the accused removed all documents which Mishra was carrying on his person along with his mobile phone.
Following his interrogation, police recovered the mobile phone of the deceased along with some visiting cards and an ATM card from Anil's house. The bloodstained clothes of the accused and his motorcycle, too, were seized.
Ajit was also arrested following a raid, said Rizvi.
