Two persons were arrested today for allegedly impersonating as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Cuttack and his personal assistant (PA) in Kalinga Nagar Steel hub in Odisha's Jajpur district, the police said today.
The Police also seized a car fitted with a red beacon, which was used by the impostors, identified as Debasish Das of Chatara village in Jagatsinghpur and Kailash Rout of Khadiabandh in Dhenkanal district, said J K Das, Sub Divisional Police officer (SDPO).
While Debasish was posing as ADM of Cuttack, Kasilash was impersonating as the PA to the fake ADM, the police said.

The arrested duo was forwarded to the court and later remanded to judicial custody after their bail pleas were rejected.
Posing as the ADM, Debasish Das telephoned Jakhapura police station and sought police help saying he was visiting a private steel plant in Kalinga Nagar on Monday afternoon.
An Assistant Sub-Inspector escorted their vehicle to the steel plant. As the plant officials were informed earlier by the impostor, they received the fake ADM and took him to the plant office, they said.
But, the activities of Das raised suspicion among the plant officials. Two employees of the plant came out and started questioning the driver of the vehicle, who told them the vehicle belonged to a travel agency in Cuttack and the duo boarded in it from Cuttack yesterday, they said.
Soon the matter was reported to the police.
"We thoroughly interrogated them and they confessed to their crime. We have recovered many incriminating materials from their possession," the SDPO said.
The motive of the two fraudsters was blackmailing corporate houses officials to earn easy money, he added.
