Dushyant Chautala among 5 to file nominations in Haryana

Five candidates including INLD's Dushyant Chautala today filed their nomination papers in Haryana for the Lok Sabha polls to be held on all the ten seats in the state on April 10.

The procedure for filing nominations started on March 15.

"Among those who filed their papers included Dushyant, the son of Ajay Singh Chautala, who filed nomination for the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency," Shrikant Walgad, Chief Electoral Officer Haryana, said.

26-year-old Dushyant is the fourth generation member of the family of former deputy prime minister Devi Lal.

Virender Verma, BSP candidate, filed his papers for the Karnal Lok Sabha seat.
 

From the Kurukshetra constituency, Balbir Singh Saini, INLD candidate, and Chunni Manoj Kumar, an Independent, filed their nominations.

Walgad said that two candidates had already filed their nominations for the Faridabad constituency on March 15. They included Deepak Gaur, candidate of the Aarakshan Virodhi Morcha Party, and Sanjay Maurya, an Independent candidate.

The last day for filing nominations is March 22.
