Dussehra celebrated in West Bengal

Dussehra, signifying the triumph of good over evil, was celebrated in the state when effigies of Ravana, Meghnada and Kumbhakarana were set ablaze today.

Among other places, a 60-foot-tall effigy of Ravana, and two 50-foot-tall effigies of Meghnada and Kumbhakarana were burnt at the Central Park in Salt Lake this evening.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a pictorial message on her Twitter handle wished people on the occasion of Dussehra.
