DUSU joint secretary alleges his car was shot at

Delhi University Students' Union joint secretary Chattarpal Yadav today alleged that his car was shot at by an unidentified person at Buddha Garden area following which an FIR has been registered in this connection.

"Firing by unknown person on DUSU joint secretary Chhatarpal Yadav near Buddha Garden. Bullet hit rear side of his car. He is safe," Saket Bahuguna, national secretary, ABVP said.

Yadav, who is from ABVP, was elected to DUSU last September.

Police officials said an FIR was being registered in this connection. However, the fact that the car was shot at will be confirmed only after forensic report.
 

"As per preliminary enquiry and inspection, it doesn't appear that it was firing. However we are investigating and the FIR is being registered," a senior police official said, adding that a probe was on from different angles.
