Delhi BJP today congratulated Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on its victory in Delhi University Students' Union elections held on Friday and said it is a "clear message of change" in rest of the country.

"The students of Delhi have given a clear message of change. This wave of change that will rise from Delhi University will now reach the state assembly and then across the entire country. The election results also point toward the mass appeal of Narendra Modi among the youths of the country," Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel said today.

In DUSU elections which results were announced today, ABVP's Aman Awana (President), Utkarsh Chaudhry (Vice President) and Raju Rawat (Joint Secretary) have emerged victorious after defeating their nearest rivals from National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student's wing of Congress party. Karishma Thakur of NSUI has been elected as Secretary.

"The Congress government tried all the gimmicks to win the elections but students of Delhi University rejected them. The reason is that Delhi youth is angry with Congress for failing to not only open new colleges and increasing the seats but also for not providing them enough employment opportunities after passing out from colleges," said Goel.
