The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) today held a dharna at the Arts Faculty here demanding immediate restructuring of the courses for the students admitted under the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) in 2013.

"The University has not bothered to take any steps to restructure the courses and get the necessary approvals, as directed by the UGC," DUTA president Nandita Narain said.

The DUTA also welcomed the move to expand the terms of reference of the Monitoring and Advisory Committee set up by the University to include the restructuring of FYUP courses.

"We hope that that this would lead to a smooth and quick resolution before the commencement of the new session on July 21. We have also forwarded suggestions for restructuring to the committee and we hope that due statutory processes would be followed by the university," Narain added.
