The Delhi University Teachers' Association today appealed to Delhi University vice-chancellor (V-C) to resolve all issues.
The DUTA, in its general body (GB) meeting yesterday, had decided to continue its evaluation boycott, that it had begun last month.
The association's GB has categorically demanded that the UGC's Roster Notification of March 5 must be put in abeyance to ensure that no working ad-hoc or temporary teacher is displaced in the new academic session, the appeal read.
"The DUTA General Body noted with dismay that despite several representations and action programmes, there are no visible steps taken by your (V-C) office to resolve issues related to the counting of past services for promotions and absorption/regularisation of all ad-hoc and temporary teachers," the appeal said.
They also sought an appointment from V-C so that the "crisis is ended through dialogue".
The appeal also said that the "university should refrain from using pressure tactics and targeting the most vulnerable section. The crisis in the university can be resolved only through dialogue, the DUTA said.
