Rajasthan government has decided to consider dwarfs as differently-abled in order to make them eligible for social security pension under the category of differently-abled candidates.
The decision was taken among other such steps to simplify rules for providing social security pension to various sections at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Dwarfs, those who have height less than 3 feet 6 inch, will have to produce a medical certificate to obtain the pension, according to a spokesperson.
