For developing Dwarka, she said her government is starting a city bus service from unauthorised colonies around Ambarahi village with Dwarka besides initiating the setting up of a 750-bed super speciality hospital, a maternal clinic and construction of four bridges in nearby localities.
In an apparent reference to activist Arvind Kejriwal, she said her government is concentrating on development and warned people against falling in the trap of "mischievous and misleading elements, seasonal frogs" who are all out to looking for electoral gains.
On tackling water shortage in Dwarka, Dikshit said she would exhort Haryana to render constructive help in commissioning of Munak Canal for which Delhi government has given Rs 360 crore and once commissioned, it would help ease the problem.
The Chief Minister made these announcements while inaugurating a 119 m long bridge, constructed at a cost of Rs five crore, across Najafgarh drain at Ambarahi village. The new bridge will connect colonies near Ambarahi to other developed parts in Dwarka.
Emphasising that her government is providing top priority on infrastructure development, Dikshit said, "we will make Dwarka a model sub-city."
"The government is keen to see a smile on each and every citizen. The city has witnessed a sea change as far as all- round development is concerned. Government has also decided to accelerate the implementation of various welfare schemes."
She said four more bridges on Najafgarh drain are being constructed to provide an effective link to unauthorised colonies around Ambarahi with Dwarka and that a new city bus service, which is on the anvil, will help residents. (More)
