Press Trust of India Kochi
Activists of Democratic Youth Federation of India today waived black flags at state Finance minsiter K M Mani when he arrived at the Kochi Infopark to attend a function.

Shouting slogans against the minister, who is facing allegations of corruption in the bar bribe scam, the workers waived black flags and tried to block the minister's car.

Police who were deployed in the area had a tough time controlling the angry protestors.

Demanding Mani's resignation, opposition Left Democratic Front has launched a series of agitations and have said they would not allow him to present the state budget.

Mani later told reporters that if the Congress led United Democratic Front was in power, he himself would be presenting his 13th budget.
