e-court fee system introduced by Madras High Court

The Madras high court has introduced e-court fee system, through which advocates and the litigant public can pay court fee online.

The facility, which will commence from April 20, is an advocate/litigant centric initiative of the Tamil Nadu government through their central record keeping agency - Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd.

As per the notification issued by the High Court registry, the service will be initially provided for the principal bench and Madurai bench of the High Court.

"E-Court Fee system is a computer-based application which provides easier and secured way of paying judicial stamp duty to the government. It helps to tackle counterfeiting. The user-manual for generating e-Court Fee is made available in the high court?s official website. Payments can be made through the website of Central Record Keeping Agencywww.shcilestamp.com," the notification said.
