E-Panchayat initiative to take services to citizens' doorstep

The Telangana government launched an E-Panchayat initiative aimed at providing financial and citizen services in a hassle-free and transparent manner in villages, it was officially announced here today.

According to a state government release, State Panchayat Raj and Infotech Minister K T Rama Rao as well as State Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy inaugurated the initiative at Bibipet village in Domakonda Mandal of Nizamabad district.

The E-Panchayat initiative, which is also known as the Palle Samagra Seva Kendram (PSSK), is envisaged by the Telangana government to provide financial and citizen services at the doorstep of rural folk, the release said.
 

The services to be provided at PSSKs include payment of social security pensions, NREGS wages, various citizen services and access to other government services, including a grievance redressal mechanism, the release said.
