e-portal to provide market facilities

Union Minority Affairs ministry would oranise a 'Hunar Haat' to enable artisans to showcase their products and culinary skills in different parts of the country.

Inauguarating a week-long 'Hunar Haat' (exhibition of products of artisans forshowcasing their culinary skill), Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvisaid the ministry had prepared an e-portal to provide national and international markets to artisans and craftsmen.

A wide variety of traditional and rare handicraft and handloom products including Hyderabad pearl, wrought iron and wood carving, wooden and sandalwood items, hand made jewellery, hand embroidery, handmade painting, wooden toys, printed dresses and Maheshwari are showcased at the venue.
 

He said 'Hunar Haat' would soon be held in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Allahabad, Ranchi, Guwahati, Jaipur and Bhopal.
