E-tailer Voylla to hire over 300 by March

E-commerce firm Voylla Fashions today announced its plans to hire more than 300 people, mostly for mid-level positions across divisions, by the end of the current financial year.

"As we get aggressive on our expansion plans, we'll be strengthening our task force at all levels and have fresh and experienced talent join us," Voylla Fashions CEO and founder Vishwas Shringi said in a statement.

The company "plans to hire 300 people across divisions by this financial year".

Voylla already has an employee base of 180, which includes graduates from premier institutes such as IITs, IIMs, NITs, NIFT.

By the end of the next year, Voylla will be looking at hiring 75 fresh graduates from these and other reputed institutes, the statement said.
 

The fashion and lifestyle e-tailer also announced having roped in former retail head of Sahara Worldwide, Tapan Roychoudhury, to head its offline channel business and Bata Zambia Finance Director Prashant Sharma as head of Finance.

Under the current expansion phase, the Jaipur-based online retailer is looking at hiring talent for retail, technology, manufacturing, marketing and merchandising.

The start-up raised funding of USD 15 million from private equity firm Peepul Capital last month.
