E-yantra robotics labs in govt and govt aided tech colleges

Tamil Nadu government today announced it would set up 'e-yantra' robotics laboratories in 10 government, government-aided polytechnic colleges and six government engineering colleges to enhance technical skills of students in these institutions.

These 'e-yantra' robotics labs would be set up in 10 government, government-aided polytechnic and six government engineering colleges in the state at a cost of Rs 80 lakh, Higher Education Minister P Palaniappan said in the Assembly.

A software incubation centre would also be started at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Software Technology Parks of India and one centre each at Anna University at Tiruchirapalli Bharathidasan Institute of Technology campus and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University at Tirunelveli, he said.
