: Olympian Shiny Wilson was the cynosure of all eyes at a mini marathon here today, in which nearly 2,800 men, women and children participated on the occasion of 'National Girl Child Day.
The mini marathon was organised by GEM EveCare today on the occasion.
The Marathon was flagged off by District Collector Archana Patnaik in the presence of Shiny.

Some women achievers in their respective fields, patients who won their battle against cancer and obesity, including some from athletic clubs, ran the mini marathon in four categories between 1.5 km and seven km.
A three-day women's health awareness expo titled 'Penne Nalama' with the theme of Women' health is nation's health' at the hospital premises as part of observation of Child's day, from January 28, hospital chairman Dr C Palanivelu said.
This will cover all aspects of women's health including female anatomy, common health issues like obesity, menstrual problems, hernia and uterine cancer, he said.
Meanwhile, city-based Camford International School took out a 28 km bicycle rally here, particularly rural limits, in which 40 students, both boys and girls of ninth and 11th standards took part, spreading awareness to protect the girl child.
The rallyists carried placards with the message of the importance of saving girl child, raised slogans and also distributed pamphlets.
