Earthquake in Andamans

A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale shook the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today, but there was no tsunami alert, officials said.

No casualty or damages were reported.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located in Campbell Bay area in the sea at a depth of 15 km from the coast, according to the website of Indian Meteorological Department.

The tremor occurred at 7.11 PM.
