Deputy Superintendent of Police of East Midnapore district Prasun Biswas died today after his vehicle met with an accident in Howrah district, a police officer said.
Biswas was coming to Kolkata when his vehicle hit a road divider at Pachla Bauria and then hit another vehicle, the officer said.
The DSP was immediately rushed to Phuleswar primary health centre and then to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the officer said adding that the bodyguard and the driver of the DSP are admitted to a hospital in a critical condition.
