The Election Commission has directed cellular service operators to maintain proper network coverage on December 1, the day of polling in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Jain and other senior officials today held a meeting with the representatives of mobile service operators to review the arrangements.
"Operators were asked to keep mobile network proper to ensure that all the polling booths across the state are under the coverage of their network area," according to a release here.

The commission will do webcasting in 19 sensitive districts on polling for which the operators were asked to ensure proper internet connectivity.
Officials from BSNL, Reliance Telecommunications, Airtel, MTS, Tata Indicom were present in the meeting.
