The Election Commission today reviewed poll preparedness of Cooch Behar and East Midnapore districts where voting will take place in the sixth and last phase of West Bengal Assembly elections on May 5.
In a video-conferencing meet from Delhi, deputy election commissioner Sandeep Saxena discussed poll issues with district magistrates, superintendents of police and observers.
Officials said the poll panel expressed their concerns with the observers while assessing poll preparedness of the electoral machinery.
With reports of post-poll violence the Election Commission said it was in touch with the state director general of police, the officials said.
