"Commission is fully satisfied that the machinery is capable of conducting elections on time, the process for which will expire on March 16," Sampath told reporters.
During the visit, Sampath and Election Commissioners H S Brahma and Syed Nasim Ahmed Zaidi held separate meetings with political parties, Chief Secretary S K Panda and DGP Sanjay Sinha and all SPs and DMs of the state.
He said, adequate security measures would be taken for conducting free, fare and incident free elections and added the date of elections would be announced in appropriate time.
Sampath said voters slip with photos would be introduced for the first time in the country during elections in Tripura for reducing the chances of manipulation.
He said preventive actions would be taken by the law enforcing agencies so that anti-social elements could not create any trouble and added that monitoring committees were formed in district levels to take actions against paid news.

Replying to a question he said Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) would be used in the elections and the machines would be kept with proper security.
He said, the bench met with the political parties including the ruling CPI-M and opposition Congress and all the parties assured to cooperate with the commission.
Sampath said a political party had complained partisan behaviour of some officials and added that appropriate actions according to law would be taken if allegations were found true.
He said the final voters list would be published on January 12 next.
Sampath said the possibility of movement of insurgents across the border through the unfenced areas were reported which would be dealt with proper security measures.
