In order to rope in the left out young electors in the age group of 18-19 years, the Election Commission of India will start a special drive in West Bengal from next Monday.
"In tune with the theme of no voters to be left behind, the ECI has decided to launch a special drive to maximise enrollment of left out electors, in particular the potential young electors (18-19 age group) with reference to 01.01.2017 as qualifying date," the ECI said in a release issued here today.
The 19-day-long special drive, which is scheduled to be launched on June 12, will be completed on June 30, it said.

Besides, the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will continue visiting every households to collect Form 6 from the applicants and during this period the toll free numbers at state and district call centres will remain operational for facilitating citizens, it said.
Special Campaigns will be held at each polling station on June 18 and 24, where BLOs will be available with adequate number of Forms 6, it said.
The District Election Officers (DEOs) will also organise a 16-day-long Interactive School Engagement Programme from June 15 to June 30 in the schools in districts.
The DEO, SDOs, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and BDOs will also coordinate with heads of educational institutions and identify students who are eligible but not not enrolled in electoral rolls.
