To take a stock of the preparedness in Gujarat for the April 30 Lok Sabha polls, the Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath will visit the state on Monday along with his team.
Sampath and his team will hold separate meetings with state chief electoral officer (CEO) and all the district election officers, who may be either called at Gandhinagar or talks will be held with them through video-conferencing.
Apart from meeting representatives of different political parties, Sampath may also take a stock of law and order situation, including security arrangements at sensitive polling booths, from senior police officials during the day.

Prominent among those contesting the polls in Gujarat include chief minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, senior BJP leader L K Advani and senior Congress leader Madhusudan Mistry.
