Election Commission today transferred 21 police officers, including police chiefs of six districts, in poll-bound Punjab.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Patiala, Faridkot, Tarn Tarn, Mansa, Ferozepur and Muktsar districts have been given new postings, an official spokesperson said here.
The other officers who were shifted include four IGPs and three Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Jitendra Jain is the new IGP (crime), Amit Prasad goes as IGP (Intelligence), Paramraj Singh Umrangal as IGP (modernisation) and SK Asthana will be the new IGP (law and order).
The transferred officers also include 12 from Punjab Police Service (PPS).
Voting in the state will take place on February 4.
