Eco reforms, "bitter pill like" initiatives should not affect

The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu today said the Centre's economic reforms and other "bitter pill like" initiatives should not affect the common man.

The party executive, which met here said that the Centre's efforts should aid people facing economic challenges, a resolution passed at the meeting said.

The party also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for constituting a Supervisory Committee to ensure initiating the height of Mullaperiyar dam to 142 ft initially, as per the Supreme Court order.

The executive met under AIADMK Presidium Chairman E Madhusudhanan, in which the party General Secretary J Jayalalithaa also participated.
