ECOR extends special trains service from Bhubaneswar

In an effort to provide comfortable journey to the commuters during the winter season, East Coast Railway (ECoR) will extend the services of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar and

Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar weekly special trains by one month upto February 2014.

Bhubaneswar-New Delhi special train which leaves Bhubaneswar at 0810 hrs every Sunday will run upto February 23, ECOR sources said.

In the return direction, New Delhi-Bhubaneswar weekly special leaving New Delhi at 1300 hrs every Monday will run till February 24, they said.

This train will stop at Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Bankura, Adra, Gomo, Gaya, Mughal Sarai, Allahabad and Kanpur between Bhubaneswar & New Delhi.
 

Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur special train which leaves Bhubaneswar every Wednesday will run upto February 26, while the down train which leaves Yesvantpur every Thursday will run up to February 27.

This train will stop at Khurda Road, Balugaon, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Katpadi, Jolarpetai and Krishnarajapuram between Bhubaneswar & Yesvantpur.

Both the trains will run with one AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tiers, 11 sleeper class coaches, 3 general second class coaches and 2 guard-cum-luggage vans.

This apart, Railways have also decided to augment one additional AC-3 tier coach each permanently in Howrah-Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam-Howrah Express,

Santragachhi-Tirupati-Santragachhi Express, Howrah-Pondichery-Howrah Express, Howrah-Mysore-Howrah Express and Shalimar-Secunderabad-Shalimar Express from this month onwards, the sources said.
