ED to webcast Finance Minister's speech, event tomorrow

The ED will 'webcast' the third edition of its Enforcement Day celebrations which will be inaugurated by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tomorrow.

Officials said the facility has been hosted on the website of the agency--www.Enforcementdirectorate.Gov.In-- and will be supported on the National Informatics Centre Internet platform.

"The effort is to showcase the technology leap made by the agency in its work domain. The live streaming will start at 10am tomorrow," a senior official said.

The annual event will also be attended by Revenue Secretary Shaktikanta Das and Chairman of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units and Director of South Africa's Financial Intelligence Centre Murray Michell.
 

Jaitley is expected to deliver his key note address and award chosen meritorious investigators of the agency from across the country.

The ED is country's central agency to investigate money laundering and hawala crimes.
