Edible, non edible oils drop on lacklustre trade

Groundnut oil prices declined further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid good arrivals from producing regions.

Refined palomlein also slid owing to lack of retail buying support.

Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial fell further due poor demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseed oil remained stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

In edible segment, groundnut oil slipped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 930 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 935.

Refined palmolein also slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 533 from Rs 538.
 

Castor seeds bold dropped Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,415 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 4,465 and castor oil commercial eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 913 as compared to Rs 923 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at 780 per 10 kg.
