Edible, non-edible oils slip on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers.

Refined palmolein eased owing to mild offtake from retailers.

In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial declined on sluggish demand from shippers and soap industries.

While linseed oil remained stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activities.

In edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 895 from Monday's closing level of Rs 905 and refined palmolein went down by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 602.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 40 per 100 kg to Rs 4,650 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,690, castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 8 per 10 kg to Rs 960 as against Rs 968 yesterday, however, linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
