Edible, non-edible oils slip on subdued demand

Groundnut oil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers on the back of ample arrivals from producing belts.

Refined palmolein eased due to lower offtake from retailers.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial eased following subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible section, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 950 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 960 and refined palmolein edged down by a Re per kg to Rs 505.
 

Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold declined by Rs 10 per 100kg to Rs 3,900 from Rs 4,000 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 828 compared to Rs 830 yesterday.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 785 per 10kg.
