Edible, non-edible oils surge on good demand

Groundnut oil rebounds smartly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Refined palmolein gained further owing sustained retail offtake.

In non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial climbed owing to persistent demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseed oil remained stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity from paint and allied industries.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 800 from Monday's closing level of Rs 790 and refined palmolein moved up Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 597 as against Rs 592.
 

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold went up by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,830 compared to Rs 4,820 yesterday and castoroil commercial added Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 996 from Rs 994, previously. Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 750 per 10kg.
