Edible oil recovers on renewed demand, non-edible slips

Groundnut oil prices recovered smartly at the oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Refined palmolein also rebounded marginally on mild retail buying.

Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped owing to poor offtake from shippers and soap manufacturers.

Linseeds oil held stable due to lack of any major buying.

In the edible section, groundnutoil climbed by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 795 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 785 and refined palmolein also moved up by a Re per 10kg to Rs 568.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold dropped by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 4,125 from yesterday's close of Rs 4,150 and castoroil commercial moved-down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 855 as against Rs 860 previously.
 

Linseeds oil closed unchanged to Rs 745 per 10kg.
