Edible oil prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers.
However, castor oil moved up on increased demand from consuming industries.
Marketmen said increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers to meet the rising demand amidst restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in select edible oil prices.
