Edible oil slips on reduced demand

Groundnutoil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supplies from producing belts.

Refined palmolein fell further owing to subdued retail demand amidst lower Malaysian cues.

Linseed oil dropped following lower offtake from paint and allied industries.

Meanwhile, in the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible section, groundnutoil declined by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 780 from last Thursday's closing level of Rs 785 and refined palmolein dipped by Rs 8 per 10kg to Rs 486 compared to Rs 494 previously.
 

Moving to non-edible section, Linseedoil moved down by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 750 as against Rs 760 previously. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial ruled unchanged at Rs 4,150 per 100kg and Rs 860 per 10kg, respectively.
