Edible oils extends fall on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices continued its downtrend at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on reduced demand from stockist and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing regions.

Refined palmolein also eased further owing to subdued demand from retailers.

While, linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered on renewed demand from shippers and soap industries.

In the edible segment, groundnutoil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,000 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,010 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 503 from Rs 505.
 

Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 4,275 from Rs 4,250 and castoroil commercial moved-up by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 885 as compared to Rs 880 yesterday.

Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 775 per 10kg.
