Edibles oil strengthen, non-edibles recover modestly

Groundnut oil prices strengthened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following persistent demand from stockists and retailers amid festival offtake.

Refined palmolein also gained marginally due to mild demand from retailers.

In the non-edibles segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered modestly owing to renewed demand from soaps and shippers' industries.

Meanwhile, linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activities.

In the edible section, groundnut oil climbed by Rs 25 per 10 kg to Rs 885 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 860 and refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 597 from Rs 595.
 

Moving the non-edible section, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 10 per 100kg to Rs 4,750 as against Rs 4,740 yesterday and castoroil commercial went up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 980 as compared Rs 978 previously.

Linseeds oil ended unaltered at Rs 750 per 10kg.
