The EDMC has decided to provide 5 per cent rebate in property tax to parents having girl children and 8 per cent incentive cut if their wards go to municipal-run schools.
Five per cent rebate would be given in property tax to parents of only girl children and 8 per cent to parents of girl children studying in municipal schools, chairperson of EDMC's standing committee Lata Gupta said in her budget finalisation speech.
Finalising the revised budget estimates for financial year 2015-16 and budget estimates for financial year 2016-17 in the standing committee, she also said that toilet complexes will be outsourced to women and their livelihood will be strengthened further by kiosks in the complex premises as part of their empowerment.
The committee also approved providing a yoga instructor to each of the EDMC schools under the physical education project.
The students will also be provided with free bags as well as tooth brush and toothpaste for better dental care as per the approved budget.
