Puducherry Agriculture and Education Minister R Kamalakannan today examined the school infrastructure at Mannadipet and Thirubhuvanai.
He also listened to the woes of the farmers by holding an informal meeting with them on the bank of a lake in Tirukanur village.
During his meeting with the farmers, Kamalakannan said agriculturists should go in for drip irrigation to save water and also to ensure sustained irrigation facility.
A regulated market would be set up in Lingareedipalayam to enable the farmers dispose of their produce without intermediaries, he added.
