The Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested a state Education Department official for accepting a bribe from a teacher at Khurja town here, police said.
According to SP (Rural) Pankaj Pandey, Suresh Chand had complained to the Vigilance cell that Additional Basic Shiksha Adhikari (ABSA) SC Mudgal was demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 from him for extending his medical leave.
Accordingly, Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths laid a trap and caught Mudgal red-handed while accepting the money from the complainant, said the SP.
